Thanks Rick! Excellent stuff! Cannon and the group at the top of their game. And to think today we get American Idol. Sheesh. THIS is progress?!?!

For those who are inspired to hear more, there's several great live recordings available. For CA with Yusef, try '...In New York' or 'Jazz Workshop Revisited' (the later has Primitivo and Jive Samba, btw).

And if someone's inspired to look into Yusef Lateef's work (and I hope someone will be), try 'Eastern Sounds' and 'Live At Pep's'. Think you'll be glad you did.
