And if I may comment, your opinion is respected and no offense taken. There really is no winning or losing here, just modest objectivity. :)

On another note, Ive noticed you have a Linn LP12 turntable, a very fine piece of equipment, perhaps this is what your using, hard to believe 'West" wouldn't sound sublime on that deck with the rest of your setup!
In many instances the music that I prefer most over the long haul, generally, at first listen aren't standouts. Its only with time and repeated listening that the performance will emotionally engage me and never really gets tiresome, as do pop favorites did when I was younger. The beauty of my more recent music choices ( which I attribute to the asylum and its many helpful inmates) are keeping me committed to this hobby which for me at this point is an occasional small hardware purchase, but its mostly enjoying others correspondence on these forums and listening to great music, and movies!

The beauty in music IMO, is the tremendous amount of variety and various genres, of many different cultures, both from today's modern music as well as historical classical composers and various Jazz giants of recent past. Its my hope EBerlin that perhaps with time you find some enjoyment in this, Lucindas latest effort, West.
