"Night and Day" was a fictionalized movie biography of the life of Cole Porter starring Cary Grant and Alexis Smith. In the movie Bill Days of the "Sportsmen's Quartet" sang the song, "Night and Day". There was a soundtrack recording from the movie, but it is no longer available.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038776/soundtrack
Fred Astaire recorded this song in the 30's with a studio orchestra, and later in the 1960's with the Oscar Peterson Sextette. There are many collections of Astaire's hit songs that include one or the other of these versions.
