I was in line at Starbucks this morning, and "helpless, helpless, helpless" was coming out of their speakers. Not completely paying attention, I thought at first I was hearing some terrible female singer until I recognized it was Mr. Screechy. By the way, I also can't stand his herky jerky, spastic guitar leads either. Sure was a stark contrast when compared to his CSNY bandmate Stills' smooth, rhythmic leads. I do, however, think Neil Young wrote some great stuff when with Buffalo Springfield. This weekend I was listening to "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing" and "I Am A Child", both great songs.
