I'm interested in finding out who some of the latter day oud players might be. I have a little of this and that on CD, Radio Tarifa and the like but not a lot.
Not so much interested in the old folk music - got plenty - but more the guys who might be considered the (for instance) Stevie Ray, Eric Clapton, Al DiMeola types. I know of Trilok Gurtu in his genre, India has Shankar (don't have) Shakti, et al, but there needs to be some players in my collection that find their influences in N. Africa and the Middle East - players that don't exist in my collection now.
Anybody who has suggestions please gettem posted here if you would.thanks
