Mr. H.F. Tommy,Yes, I think it's impossible to live in Los Angeles without an attorney on retainer and I feel much more secure knowing "Bruiser" is only a cel call away! In a city where there is an attorney for every 350 people- I think the highest per capita ratio in the World, in my kind of business- architecture and construction, we have to dive for cover on a regular basis, just based on roof leaks alone. A good CPA is essential too, and I like him to be a staunch Republican who hates the idea of taxes.
The radio world in Los Angeles is always in flux, I think it's such a large market- I've heard the largest in the US- so there's a lot of Bushrands at stake and as you say, this leads to scrambled eggs.
For a long time, I've wanted to listen to more jazz, but as sson as I find a station playting it, they go off and do something else that's presumably more lucrative. I hadn't even heard of KKJZ, but my tuner dial doesn't extend to 66.1- I'll try the streaming site - thanks for mentioning that one.
As for the LA/OC audio society, I've been tempted to go functions a number of times- fortunately they seem to have events that are not all 90 dense traffic miles away, but I haven't managed to do this yet. I see in the events list there is a Brook Berdan meeting coming up and as I believe he sells Rega, I may try and attend that one and possibly hear a Rega Saturn at the same time. Perhaps I see you at that one.
Cheers,
Bambi B
