I don't quite know who you mean by the English revival. For 20th century composers, the big names to me are Britten, Vaughn Williams and Tippett. Tippett is a bit more challenging than the other two.Other very good British composers that I like are:
Gerald Finzi
Malcolm Arnold
Arnold Bax
Elizabeth Maconchy
Alan Rawsthorne
Charles Villiers Stanford (does Irish count?)Some living composers come to mind, such as
John Tavener
Thomas Ades
