Your picture brought back memories. It was part of the sound system for the Griffith Planetarium in Los Angeles where I worked for a few years starting in the late '50s. There were several vinyl collectors on the staff, and I remember being shown how to set the equalization switches for various record labels and particular recordings. We used classical music at several places in the show, and I still associate certain pieces of music that we used with parts of the night such as sunset and sunrise. "Sunrise" from Daphnis and Chloe worked extremely well for the dawn and sunrise, and people would often come up aftwerward wanting to know what that piece of music was.Joe
