Sometimes one is lucky ;-) My other candidates for the bass leader tracks were Jimmy Blanton, but he never recorded as a leader, and Milt Hinton, so the safest bet was Chubby Jackson and moreover Kava got it right at first shot hahaha. That gave me the clue for Candoli. I like his clear tone and kind of "easy flowing" melody lines, probably not to spot him blindly, but this time I had the help of the leader bassist. I knew that Candoli recorded for Prestige with Jackson. That might help others more knowledgeable to hit the tenor and drummer. I still wonder who can be the vibes player.I'm enjoying this a lot Duane, this set's been great too. Thanks!
