Re: That was a hard one.

If you read my first post I mentioned a young bebopper because they all changed their sound and approach over the years. Sonny Stitt was probably the most constant and that wasn't Sonny. I'll be honest, I played an old Getz record and an old Dexter and Wardell record before I realized that there was a good chance it would be Getz. Getz had a hair more Lester in him at that time and a slightly muffled sound. The crowd noise had a big effect on the players' sound also. Red was the easiest to pick out because he was the easiest to hear.

Basically it was luck, though.
