Re: That was a wonderful location

The neighborhood is extremely nice, south of Broadway. The Tower theater is still there and has withstood developers who want to turn it into a megaplex. Instead one pays $9.50 to watch Indies. North of Broadway, Midtown, where I live, is gentrifying(sp)and getting expensive but it's still a wonderfully affordable place for college students, gays, old people and ex-cons. I live in a converted flood basement of a Victorian built in 1889 for $450 a month; this is how I am able to afford speaker cables with little batteries for "better sound." As long as the flood basement never has to fulfill its original purpose....
