This recording of Pierrot has the flavor of authenticity (and is in more than passable sound). Yet several modern performances - are (IMO at least) largely more satisfactory.This is more or less like the Schoenberg string quartets with the Kolisch. The Kolisch certainly give you the pioneering flavor, but the La Salle or the Wiener are quite another match.
