Yes, I've downloaded a few Pristine Classical transfers. No, I don't have an informed opinion--just an opinion, since I'm neither an engineer or an audiophile (much).Andrew (who's a real nice guy, btw) has done some pretty amazing work recently via a new process he's just developed. (He details it all on the web site, and gives audio samples.) His first round of transfers of things like the Schnabel 'Emperor' were already competitive with the best out there, and now he's gotten better at it, and some of his recent transfers, such as the Bruno Walter/Philly 'Pastoral' are to my ears much more natural sounding than transfers I've heard from M&A and a few others.
Of course, all I've done is download the mp3s, and you'd get even better sound if you ordered a CD. Andrew is very pleasant to deal with, and helpful in resolving problems. (I did have a problem downloading a file once, which he immediately responded to and took care of.)
Standard disclaimer: I have no commercial affiliation with Pristine Audio etc etc.
