thanks for your post.
My idea is not to be agree with the subjetive comment in the guide, but to have information about a great number of director/orchestra version of a musical work.
The best an convenient guide , will be the one who maintain the records that are classics and no more available, because I will try to get in used vinyl. In fact, I prefer all, when is posible, in good vinyl pressing. I know that this is more dificult, because not all pressing has good sound quality/good shape, and in that case, maybe a CD version will be preferable.
