Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Beethoven, "Wellington's Victory";Herold,"Zampa"; von Suppe, "Poet & Peasant".........

currently out of favor, I would have thought; but as popular as, say Beethoven's symphonies earlier in the twentieth century. You might add, for that matter, "1812" and "Romeo & Juliet" but that would be to venture into a hornet's nest inhabited by Tchaikovsky afficianados among whom I am sometimes numbered--depends on hormone levels! And some pieces of Berlioz: but I wouldn't want Colin Davis on my back!!

Regards, John
