Thank you Rick W. That's exactly the type of info I was hoping to find.Some time ago, I read (somewhere) that muted trumpet was a particularly difficult challenge for CD based systems. While muted trumpet can sound wonderful on my system, it never does so with Miles' playing. Anytime I make a change in my system, one of the first discs I spin is "Sketches of Spain", to see if it has become listenable. I have not yet been able to get through the whole CD in one sitting.
I'll keep trying.
