You're absolutely right. I do the best I can with what I have, and I don't have the original LP's in most cases. What I'm basically trying to do is make a relevant comparison for a shopper today, who has to decide between different CD and SACD versions.For me the standard of comparison is mostly the Classic LP's, which are uniformly superior *in my experience* to any of the digital alternatives. For the *average* buyer, though, even that isn't really a choice--unfortunately.
