I read all the posts about Monty A. and thought that I would put one of my own own tapes recorded in 1988 on for your pleasure. It is a one of a kind so when I take it off it's bye, bye. Yeah, the cats with him were Charnett Moffitt, a wonderful bass player and Marvin "Smitty" Smith. Can't beat that lineup.
I selected a 17 minute tune because he goes through about 3 tempo changes. You also get to hear his wonderful colleagues. It was recorded in NJ at a club on Mother's Day. I make no copies of these things. I really hope you enjoy it. Monty and his cats were in a very good head this day. If you dig it, I would like to know. As usual it's a not for profit thing.
I did this while I'm still making up my mind for the Blindfold jive.
