I picked up a VSOP live in SF at a garage sale for $3 CDN. It rekindled my interest in the band. After hearing Wayne Shorter's Footprints Live and Herbie's New Directions band, VSOP seemed to have all the elements that I liked in terms of groupp interaction among players. Mind you I'm biased to Mid-late 60's Miles only for the band that he put together. Was eyeing the Mosaic boxed set of the Complete Plugged Nickel sessions with a keen eye... Miles knew what he was doing when he titled one of the first albums with this edition of the quintet ESP...
