G'day,
A Decca pressing of Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic is still easily available from companies such as www.elusivedisc.com. I bought the copy scanned in the last 6 months. It clearly isn't an original copy (unless it's sat in a warehouse for many years) but there's absolutley no information on the sleeve who has repressed the record if it is a re-issue. The inner protective sleeve is the same as you would have had in 1972 with the blurb about FFSS and playing the record with a stereo pickup etc. and on the rear of the outer sleeve is mention of Decca making 8 track cartridges so it's a perfect copy of the original. Enormous sound, very nice indeed and dead silent heavy vinyl.Regards
Paul
