Not well known in America, but one of England's most popular singers in the 30s, she is worth seeking out if you like the Etting, Kane and Hanshaw. There's a disk on the ASV label called "Radio Sweetheart No. 1" that has most of her greatest hits. Her recording of "The Clouds will Soon Roll By" is one of my favorites from that decade.
