That's for sure. The singers I've practiced with think a quarter-tone is "good enough" when it comes to being on pitch. The Basilio in the recent Barber I heard at the Met took so many liberties in pitch (some for comic effect, others unintentional) that the prompter gave him numerous "silent screams" and stink-eyes.Big B
