Wasn't about to post another jazz legend obit, but this item jumped out because Shannon got his start in Connick's big band in early 90's around same time Russell Malone was put in the limelight to future greatness by Harry. Saw Shannon at NoLa coliseum in a trio with Harry and bassist Ben Wolfe on same program as Dr. John and the Marsalis family. Shannon, get well soon.
