I saw the Arkestra at Roulette—it was a beautiful thing. I also saw them in New Orleans at the end of April, but without Marshall Allen who no longer takes long road trips. They were great there as well, but seeing Marshall at 100 added both the poignancy of his presence and the piquancy of his sound to all the other virtues of the Arkestra.
