Does anyone know about this?

Apparently, the European Blue Note Connoisseur CD release apparently had the vastly superior 2nd versions of 'Minor Meeting' & 'Royal Flush'.

The regular versions, which are used on the new Tone Poet pressing (since they're duplicating the original album release), are, IMO, slow, lifeless, and played at what really sounds like a practice tempo. This's just my opinion; you may disagree.

But, what I'm interested in is the back story and background to this. ANyone know anything about this?
