Not sure where I heard this but Paul was sitting in a club with a friend when an old flame of his walked in with an older and rather dull looking man and sat down at a table some ways away.
Paul gazed at her for a while, turned with a world-weary expression to his friend and said:
"So this is how the world ends - not with a whim but a banker......"
