Ahhhh the ambience!

Well, an ambient thread was suggested, and an ambient thread I will start with a few suggestions for anyone starting out and I guess as a lot of this stuff is pretty obscure, even by the standards we sometimes adopt that probably everything I list is... obscure. Or is it just me?
Anyway, here is a list of stuff.

Yasushi Yoshida: Secret Figure. Probably my favourite disc of 2006. Has released another disc this last April and itisn't as quiet! www.noble-label.net

Fabio Orsi: There are loads of discs and many seem to be burnt by him and personally sent. Lovely cottage industry and covering the spectrum from found sound to quiet psychedelics.

Christopher Willits: Saw him at The Judy last year. As did maybe 40 other people. I have a great disc he did with Ryuchi Sakamoto.

Kiln: Recently picked up a disc of salvaged recordings from the second half of the 90s.

The Infraction label has a lot of interesting stuff.

There. Is that enough to get you interested? Hard to say without hearing it!!
