Not much you can do to make it an easier listen. In most places this album does not strike me as overly bright (unlike My Bloody Valentine's equally glorius/fatiguing but very bright "Loveless") so while turning down the treble would make the really distorted parts a little more tollerable, it would muffle a lot of the subtler details, and make the already buried vocals harder to pick out. Running it through some good tube equipment, and perhaps something with transformers in it might "round off" some of the harshness of the distortion, but these are expensive solutions with limited results. The last thing you want to do is run it through some sort of digital EQ on your computer.
