Today's hip tunes. New music that isn't Classic Rock or Jazz!

Not sure whether to post this under Rock or Hip Pop Asylums; considering the band's intended audience I decided to post here.
The Howlling Bells recent (first) release was very impessive on first play, and is growing on me. Equal parts late Plums/early Deadstar and Polly Harvey, with just a touch of Susperia era Miranda Sex Garden and the Waifs at times. Strangely, this album seems sonically dense, yet clean and sparse.

This 4-peice comprises three members from the Aust band Waikiki (Julia Stein is in fine form), with a different bass player. Looking forward to the tour. Recommended.
