Chillout music? Mezzanine? You've GOT to be kidding. I guess it's chillout music if you're normally into Ministry and/or Dead Kennedys.Mezzanine is an awesome album, and an interesting example of how much raw power one can emote with "calm" music. Extremely well recorded, too. It'll give your subwoofer a real workout, and sounds fantastic on an audiophile system.
Protection's not bad either, but it's different from Mezzanine. It is certainly tamer.
I wish like hell they were playing music like Mezzanine when I visited Ibiza. Everything I heard was boring downtempo electronica. Nothing like paying 35 Euros to get crammed into a club with 5000 other people to listen to music intended to put you to sleep. Yawn. No more Ibiza for me. I'll stick with Miami break beats.
