Hip Pop Stop Today's hip tunes. New music that isn't Classic Rock or Jazz! |

I'm not sure whether it is for new musicians or new music.Example: I just got You are the Quarry by Morrissey. This is classic Morrissey, it is "hip" and it is definitely "pop". But since Morrissey dates back to the 80s, should he be discussed in "hip pop" or "rock"?
And my latest addition from the dependable Rough Guide series, Rough Guide to Morocco. This is "pop" and, IMO, it is "hip". This is popular music, but with the distinct influence of the trance music that Brian Jones recorded and released many years ago.
But I don't know if that belongs here either.
