Today's hip tunes. New music that isn't Classic Rock or Jazz!

I think it's a great album...

I bought the "redbook" release of this instead of the DudDisc. I would have liked to have it in 24/96 lpcm, but wasn't willing to take the chance of player incompatibility. The regular cd sounds very good, though.

I have been a fan of Mr. Reznor's work since Pretty Hate Machine, and own all subsequent releases. This is one of the best, IMO.

I think that With Teeth returns to a slightly more "pop" sensibility... more in the vein of Pretty Hate Machine. There are more metallic sounding tracks, but also some nice melodic moments. I also like the layout and length of this album. It seems a little short, but sweet. I can sit and listen to the whole thing, and when it's over I still want more. I don't remember the last time I sat through both discs of The Fragile... or all of The Downward Spiral. Although, I must admit that the SACD release of TDS has seen a lot of spin time recently (especially disc 2). If you have an SACD rig I highly recommend it.

Summing up, I think With Teeth is a superbly conceived, coherent, engaging album. It's certainly a little more accessible than some of Trent's previous work. Highly recommended.
