. . . about as close to a new Sea & Cake record as you can get. Minimalist, stripped-down, intellectual pocket-protecter geek pop with soul - kind of like early Talking Heads. It SOUNDS great, too - hats off to Soma Electronic Studio in Chicago - they do a great job. By the way, did anyone else see Tomacz Stanko Quartet at the Jazz Bakery in L. A. last week? They ROCKED!
