i feel the same way about Funeral as You Forgot It In People... they both don't stop giving new insights, and especially textures. my first few listens to Funeral, i couldn't come up with any descriptors other than smokey, or slightly gloomy. but every listen, there's little "bright and tingly" textures that reveal themselves. I found a similar thing was true for the Wrens last album, at first it seems like its just well produced, highly listenable rock, but the more i listen, the more i pick up little things that make the overriding feel of the album shaky, insecure, and very personal.
