Today's hip tunes. New music that isn't Classic Rock or Jazz!

Re: your recommendations

i'm pretty sure i DID mention 10cc's "i'm not in love" in my original list. it's a great song that was also pretty far ahead of it's time. i think it was godley and creme's doing.

i have "the best of kate bush". she does have a lovely voice for sure and many of her songs are laid back, but i can't recall any makeout tunes per se. i just listened to the disc again within the past week too as i figured it would sound good with my system's new midrange magic.

"nights in white satin" definately a great song about propalactics. i forgot it as i don't have it in my collection yet. LOL i agree about the poem too. on the other hand, i really like "fly like an eagle" with the long synthesizer riff at the end.

as to julie london... i LOVE the "hot toddy" track i have at the end of a bonus disc that i have that came in the back of a lounge music encyclopedia. it was a great $10 deal at an overstock book warehouse that used to be in my town. hot toddy was definately THE best track on the disc.

"doo doo dee oot doot doot doo dee oot
doot doot doo
doot doot doo"

for such an old song, it sounds killer too. technology might have advanced alot, but there's something to be said for the simpler good old days.

don't forget "the assotiation" they have ALOT of great mellow tracks. "never my love" is my favorite for the bouncy piano riffs, but they have a few others.
