Not to complain about Gens and Koch, but I think Michael Spyres might be another "best-known singer" on this recording. There is his "Baritenor" recording, in which he sings arias for tenor and baritone. And there is "Amici e Rivali," which is a duet album in which Spyres and Lawrence Brownlee perform as tenors--except for one duet in which he sings baritone. I think all of his other recordings are as a tenor, including Les Troyens, Damnation de Faust, Rossini's Otello, and a number of rarely heard Donizetti operas.
