Classical Court From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here. |

Friends once told me they described Haydn's music as "well organized." As I prepare to complete my Friday, I am listening to his Cello Concerto No 1, performed by Steven Isserlis and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, conducted by Roger Norrington. This recording from 1998. Isserlis has a sweet tone, exhibited in a well balanced recording. I regard this music as an elegant start to the weekend.

- I'm sure Isserlis is just fine - I'd worry more about Snorrington though! [nt] ;-) - Chris from Lafayette 15:59:26 09/10/21 (0)
