Somehow I missed this one! The performances are great AND well recorded! The Wiener Philharmoniker sounds wonderful under Solti's leadership too.. Dare I say I almost like him better with this orchestra as compared to the CSO! Without a doubt this is one of the BEST recordings of the 8th that I have heard! I may have to seek out the set that includes the 9th as well....
