Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

RE: The ol' switcheroo..

The opening movement was easily the strong part of this performance..... The final movement was good too..... The inner two movements were OK, I thought the conductor's motions kind of cramped the pace somewhat.

This is a really nice complement to the Fedoseyev performance..... There was a "charm" and "cohesiveness" to the Warsaw Philharmonic's presentation that often gets lost in more "virtuosic" performances of this work. (The Warsaw Philharmonic has a superlative bassoon player, the bassoon parts in this performance were top notch.)
