Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

Could this be some sort of subtle joke?

I was looking at the Amazon product page for EMI-Japan's SACD reissue of the celebrated Andre Previn/LSO Rachmaninoff 2nd Symphony. The composer's breakdown after the disastrous premiere of his 1st Symphony and the writer's block which followed are (I assume) common knowledge in the classical music community. So perhaps the two books which Amazon selected as "Sponsored Products Related to This Item" are oddly appropriate: The Depression Workbook with Yoga Secrets and The Anxiety Workbook with Yoga Secrets. "Calm your depression with the ancient wisdom of yoga." Is this a subtle stab at humor? Is this composer so readily associated with gloomy melancholy that an Amazon staffer (or, more likely, Amazon's product selection algorithms) thought these would be good items to showcase? How very odd! (Of course it could be completely random, in which case this post can be safely disregarded. Which might be a good idea regardless.)
