Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

turns out I have that version as well....

Was going through my Vaughn Williams albums today and I found 2 copies of the Bean/Boult on EMI. One was an original EMI test pressing. It has 2 records, each is only pressed on one side. I put it through the cleaner and on the turntable - wow. What sonics. The violin has more body and resonance than the other (Argo or London) recording. I also noticed that Boult brings out more voices and texture in the orchestra. Wound up listening to the whole album.

I should go through my records more often! So many records, so little time. An embarrassment of riches.

Enjoy the music.
