I remember when I was a kid, Szeryng appeared with the LAPO, and one of the local AM stations was having actor Pat Buttram (known for his role as Gene Autry's side kick and Mr. Haney on "Green Acres" among other things) read the performance events in the area that weekend. He got to that Szeryng concert and said (in his big Southern drawl), "And then there's gonna be concert by the LA Philharmonic and Henryk. . . [pause]. . . Tsezeering?. . . " (One of the other announcers had to help him out!)
