RE: Severance Hall is worth a pilgrimage

The building to the left behind the hall must be relatively new......

I haven't been to the hall in recent time, but what stood out in my memories was how "pristine" the place was...... There was also a unique "scent" to the floor polish inside the place. (The stage shell is of course totally different, but the main lobby appears to have not changed at all.)
