Classical Court From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here. |

He passed away July 2.
The amazing thing about Kapustin was that he mastered all the composition forms for piano in his own style. A jazz style that is usually not regarded as "classical". His body of work is simply stunning. He has his place in the Pantheon of Pianists and composers. I thank the Music Gods for Kapustin. Even if the music is difficult to play, it is a joy.
His music has been championed by Marc-Andre Hamelin and Steven Osborne.
Rest in peace Nikolai.
Enjoy the music.
