I'm familiar with it because, for whatever reason, whenever the (UK) Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music sends out their examiners to the SF area, their auditions are always held in that store. There are some teachers and parents here who prefer the ABRSM examinations to the more common MTA (Music Teachers Association) or ASTA (American String Teachers Association) examinations. When you're waiting to go into the exam room (I'm often there as the piano accompanist to whichever of our many fine local babe violinists is auditioning), you sometimes get seated near all the gongs - and you have to have a lot of self control to restrain yourself from getting up and whacking the daylights out of those things! ;-)
