Enjoying new garage space

I recently got that environment completely repainted along with epoxy coating on the floor. During the five day curing period, I tried some fast claps to recall the high amount of slap echo found in the untreated room. Two lingered for seconds!

While I've still got some automobilia stuff to hang, I finished setting the system back up and getting the diffusors, aka nubby Walmart door mats hung on the walls. Previously I also used three DIY damping panels made about twenty five years ago but they had almost fallen apart so I retired them. Still, the wall treatments significantly tamed the slap echo problem. Ended up getting a new rolling work bench as well.

Now that my motorcycle got flattened by the neighbor's fallen pine tree, I can position the speakers further away from front wall where I previously parked it. While the main system is sonically superior to the modest Advent/Fosi system in many ways, I still spend as much time out there enjoying outdoors and puttering around with projects. Good enough!

What's left is getting the new three section hexagonal lights installed on each side of center LVL. Traveling to Montreal tomorrow but will get my electrician neighbor to get that done next week. :)
