RE: My archive is stored on 2k+ plastic spinning discs.

When recording vinyl to CDR then ripping to hard drive the original plan was to back up with a CD copy. After about 1000 LPs the space required (not to mention the time and effort to burn the CDRs) just proved to be a massive unneeded burden. Just added a spare internal and external drive and got rid of the CDRs. Also have another external that resides in my main system connected to the systems DAC via a Raspberry Pi with a Moode server interface app. Maybe next year I'll add the NAS so I don't have to physically remove that external drive to update it as I update the lossless digital library on my PC.
