I know you weren't asking me but I would characterize him as a phenomenal inventive virtuoso who wrote his own rules on music theory. I got to see him live as the warm up act for Crosby Stills and Nash. I was blown away.
I write this from my front row balcony seat waiting for the amazing Xuefei Yang who is my all time favorite classical guitarist.
They can not be compared. Guitarists like Hedges are just so different in their technique.
