people who sometimes find a newer way to do things believe that EVERYBODY should do the same just because they think it's BETTER. Others are quite happy with things just the way they are, or were, and are NOT interested. The distinctions twix the 2 is not difficult to understand but somehow gets lost every 10-20 years.
Trying to suggest or continually force it on others because "It's the next best thing" seems to be a social, ego manifestation and a rejection of their self proclaimed authority. They take offense if you don't listen.
Call it a library thing, remember those? I find it nice to have a collection of vinyl, it's a nice freedom. I put the computer screen smart phone down, leave it alone over there somewhere, and pay attention to the music. How about you...
or is it just a toy for sophisticated entertainment...
