I came across someone who told me he recently tried to rip his entire CD collection to an SSD drive...... About 3000 CDs to a 2 TB drive, using FLAC files.... He didn't know if the problem was heat related from constant loading of data or an electrical glitch, but the drive croaked when he was about one-third done..........I don't know if he recovered some of the data, but he scrapped his plan to get rid of his CD collection, which was his initial intention.
